Getting out and about
Since 1975, we have provided safe and reliable door-to-door transportation for our community.
The purpose of community transport is to assist people who are unable to use private or public transportation and have no relatives or friends to help them out.
Providing safe door-to-door transport is our specialty, and we have a wonderful team of caring and dedicated volunteers and staff. Check out the information on how easy it is to volunteer with us if you’re interested.
Fill out the Volunteer Expression of Interest Form if you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver.
Group transport
BHN provides group transportation for service users attending its programs, such as Social Support, Gentle Exercise, etc.
One of our buses is wheelchair accessible and is used for group transportation.
Individual transport
Transport to and from medical appointments and rehabilitation will be provided on an individual basis.
Cars owned by Connect Health & Community and volunteers are used for those who are able to enter and exit them comfortably. There is no accessibility for wheelchairs in these cars. We offer transport services Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm.
It is unfortunately not possible for us to transport people who require ongoing monitoring or active treatment during their journey.
